a six-week Birthing from Within series

Begins September 10, 2009

Thursdays  6:30 ~ 8:30pm 

♥   Prepare for a gentle and mindful journey into parenthood, trusting birth and feeling empowered through breath awareness, comfort measures, and creative coping methods

   Participate in thoughtful discussions and activities, and learn important tools about being in labor and giving birth, partner support, and the important choices available to you in any birth setting

  Explore your hopes and expectations as well as the realities of parenthood including supportive breastfeeding, and fostering a healthy family environment

♥   All are welcome, women may attend alone or with a partner or birth companion to all classes.

♥   Six week series appropriate for all stages of pregnancy, advanced registration needed, class size is limited.

Families First Announces September Programs

 

PORTSMOUTH – All parents and children are welcome at the parenting classes, playgroups and other programs that Families First Health and Support Center will offer in September. All programs are free of charge unless otherwise noted, and all include free child care, with dinner for kids during evening programs. Advance signup is needed for all programs (unless “Drop-ins OK” is noted), and is always needed for child care. Call 603-422-8208 ext. 2.

At the Community Campus in Portsmouth

·       Troubleshooting Stress, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.

·       Basic Parenting, Sept. 9-30, 6 p.m.

·       Working with Schools on Your Child’s Special Learning Needs, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.

·       Getting Up and Out in the Morning, Sept. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

·       Managing Money in Tough Times, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.

·       “Not Like My Parents!” Sept. 22 and Sept. 29 at 6 p.m.

·       Parent Rechargefirst and third Thursday each month (except Sept. 3), 9:30 a.m.

·       Grandparenting, first and third Wednesday each month (except Sept. 2) at 9:30 a.m.

·       Toddler Playtime, Mondays, weekly (except Aug. 31 and Sept. 7) at 9:30 a.m. Drop-ins OK. $5 fee.

·       Babytime, Tuesdays, weekly (except Sept. 1) at 10 a.m. Drop-ins OK.

·       Preschool Playtime, Fridays, weekly (except September 4) at 9:30 a.m. Drop-ins OK. $5 fee.

 

In Seabrook

·       Parenting Class Series, Thursdays, weekly beginning Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. at Seacoast Youth Services. Series begins withParenting Your Preschool/School-Age Child, Sept. 17 through Oct. 8.

·       Parent RechargeTuesdays, weekly, at 9:30 at Seabrook Community Center

 

In Hampton

·       Family Morning Out, Wednesdays, weekly beginning Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m. at Hobbs House, Trinity Church.

 

In Raymond

·       Parenting Class Series, Wednesdays, weekly beginning Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. at Raymond Baptist Church. Series begins withHelping Kids Handle Transitions, Sept. 23 and Sept. 30.

In Epping

·       Family Morning Out, Thursdays, weekly (except Sept. 3 and Sept. 24) at 9:30 a.m. at Epping Recreation Center.
